Dream Amethyst Crystal Sphere – 64mm
Rich purple patches, soft lavender and cloudy white quartz give this dream amethyst sphere a beautifully layered appearance. Broad angular areas of colour sit alongside pale bands, while a distinctive cream-coloured vein sweeps across the stone. Its glossy polished surface reveals fine internal lines and shifting depths of colour as you turn it in the light.
At approximately 64mm in diameter, this sphere makes an eye-catching addition to a crystal collection or a decorative focal point for a desk or shelf. Each angle offers a different balance of deep violet, misty lilac and pale quartz, making it a lovely piece to pause and explore.
Physical Properties
Dream amethyst combines purple amethyst with white quartz and is often known as chevron amethyst. Quartz has a chemical composition of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), a trigonal crystal system and a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. This sphere has a glassy polished lustre, with a mixture of cloudy and partly translucent areas.
Geology & Formation
Amethyst and white quartz grow from silica-rich fluids within cavities and fractures in rock. Changes during growth create contrasting zones and bands, giving dream amethyst its characteristic layered patterns. Amethyst’s purple colour is associated with traces of iron and natural irradiation within the quartz structure.
Crystal Properties
In crystal traditions, dream amethyst is associated with calm, intuition and spiritual reflection. It is often chosen as a focus for meditation or as a symbolic reminder to slow down and make space for a peaceful moment. These associations are spiritual beliefs rather than scientifically proven effects.
