Dream Amethyst Crystal Sphere – 66mm
Soft lavender, rich violet and milky white come together in this beautifully patterned dream amethyst sphere. Bold chevron bands sweep through the stone, forming nested V-shapes, angular outlines and layered patches of colour. Some areas have a cloudy softness, while others reveal greater depth beneath the glossy polished surface.
Turn the sphere to discover a different arrangement of purple and white on every side. At approximately 66mm in diameter, it makes a striking focal point for a crystal collection, a desk or a quiet corner at home, and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves amethyst’s distinctive colours.
Physical Properties
Dream amethyst, often called chevron amethyst, combines purple amethyst with white quartz. Both are varieties of quartz, with a chemical composition of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), a trigonal crystal system and a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. This sphere has a polished, glassy lustre, with cloudy and partly translucent areas that emphasise its natural banding.
Geology & Formation
Amethyst and white quartz grow from silica-rich fluids within rock cavities and fractures. Changes during crystal growth produce contrasting layers, creating the chevron and angular patterns characteristic of dream amethyst. Amethyst’s purple colour is linked to traces of iron and natural irradiation within the quartz structure.
Crystal Properties
In crystal traditions, dream amethyst is associated with calm, intuition and spiritual reflection. It is often used as a focus for meditation or as a symbolic reminder to pause and create a peaceful moment. These associations are spiritual beliefs rather than scientifically proven effects.
