Tangerine Quartz is Clear Quartz coated or internally stained with haematite or iron oxide, typically formed through natural weathering processes or hydrothermal activity in iron-rich environments. The orange colouration develops as iron compounds leach from surrounding rock and bond to the quartz surface over thousands of years. The finest specimens originate from Minas Gerais, Brazil, and Madagascar, where the mineral-rich geology creates ideal conditions for vivid, even colouration across well-formed points. Each piece is entirely natural — the depth and distribution of colour is determined by the specific conditions of its formation.
